1968 Mack CF FDNY Engine 82

The 1968 Mack-CF Engine 82 evokes the memories of the early stages of "The War Years" in New York City. Every authentic aspect of the rig has been captured by Fire Replicas. The model clearly captures the protective modifications the FDNY incorporated to protect its members when engaging in fire operations. Innovations that were the forerunners of safety considerations for future rigs. Excellent model as one has come to expect from FR!!!!!!!!!

1968 Mack CF pumper E 82, The Bronx.

It's been 50 years since: "Report From Engine Co. 82" was published at the beginning of 1972. Now, along comes a model of a rig that would have been involved in many of the events chronicled in the book. Notable features include the rounded Herculite hosebed cover (Conestoga style), pompier (scaling) ladder, original Mack CF grille, the 2 fleur-de-lis symbols flanking the: "MACK" nameplate, the booster reel at the front of the hosebed cover, & the booster line payed out through roller guides over the handrail above the rear step. I'm really pleased to have gotten model associated with a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Twice!

Wonderful model from "The War Years". Dennis Smith would be proud.
